iPhone 3G S and Exchange

The new iPhone from Apple is still a great choice for business. It uses the same Activeync connection method as the iPhone3g of syncing with an Exchange Server, and the process hasn't been updated in this newest release.
The two new features that will be most useful for business users of the iPhone are improvements to the message creation features. Cut and Past capability makes it much easier to compose messages with information from other emails or documents. Landscape format for the keyboard is a first effort at reducing the pain of typing long messages on an iPhone keyboard. In our testing, if we had to choose between one of these features we would take the landscape format keyboard in an instant.
All in all this update from Apple is consistent with other releases: A few solid, well thought out improvements to features that have a significant positive impact on usability. We aren't rushing out to replace our iPhone3g phones just yet, but will be happy to have these as the next step when the time comes.
Our Blackberry users here at Exchange3G want to challenge the new iPhone 3g S to a speed typing test. Stay tuned for the results!
